Practice Manager /Veterinary nurse
As practice manager Jess' organisational skills and willingness to listen make her a natural fit to manager the broader issue that arise in our busy veterinary hospital. Jess is qualified with a Certificate IV in veterinary nursing and is part way through a Diploma . Jess continues to work as part of the clinical team. Jess loves to relax playing sport and hanging out with Zeus, the family dog.
Emma Howell Cert IV VN
Senior Veterinary nurse
Emma is a Certificate IV qualified veterinary nurse. As well as dogs and cats Emma has a great love of native animals and has completed training in native animal care through Taronga zoo. Being highly skilled clinically as well having extensive knowledge and experience, Emma is a key senior member of the Vetz nursing team. At home her two cats and house renovations keep her busy.
Cassidy O'Donohue Cert IV VN
Veterinary Nurse
Cass is a certificate IV qualified veterinary nurse. She joined Vetz in 2022 and has been a great addition to the team!
Cass loves everything there is to do with vet nursing, whether it be surgery or medical cases she is always first to be involved. Cass has a high level of clinical skills and always stives to provide the highest quality of care to every patient.
She has one furry friend at home, her dog Eros. Eros presented to a clinic through a rescue organisation and Cass instantly fell in love with him and she knew she must take him home.
In her spare time, she loves to foster kittens! Cass finds a lot of enjoyment when they find their forever homes.
Sharni Millington Cert IV VN
Veteryinary Nurse
Sharni is a certificate IV qualified veterinary nurse. Sharni joined the team in 2023 and is really looking forward to getting to know our clients and their pets!
She loves all aspects of vet nursing and is keen to continue to develop her knowledge and skills.
She has two Kelpie cross’s Koda and Reef who keep her very busy. In her spare time, she like to keep active and spend time with her friends.
Sharlene (Shar) has been working in the animal industry for many years and Joined the Vetz team in 2018
Shar is the one most likely to answer the phone when you call and with her vast experience will be able to help quickly assess the best way to handle any queries.
Along with keeping all running smoothly here at Vetz Shar is mum to three humans, Lottie (pictured) and Bugs the Bunny.
Ella Duncan Cert IV VN Student Ella is currently studying her certificate IV in veterinary nursing at Kurri Kurri TAFE and has a parttime position here at Macquarie Vetz. Ella has a “can do” attitude and is always eager to jump in and help wherever possible. Ella is a great student and always applies herself here at the clinic and at TAFE. She is already knowledgeable on all things nursing but continues to grow her knowledge and her skill every day. She loves everything there is to do about vet nursing with a special focus on anaesthetic monitoring .In her spare time she enjoys spending time at the beach and looking after the family dog’s Louie and Tank.
Debbie White Animal Attendant
Debbie is our fabulous animal attendant and cat "den mother" in boarding! As well as making sure our visiting cat are happy Debbie is busy behind the scenes so the hospital runs smoothly. Deb helps in lots of little ways so that everyone's day is just that bit easier. Debbie is also a busy mum to two children, two axolotls and four cats. (PS Deb would be a crazy cat lady if her partner let her!)
